Sara Jane Fusco, our Execurtive Producer, conceived of Labor-Lines in 1998, wanting to give a voice to the compelling story of the labor movement on Long Island. Co-incidentally, her husband Vic, had been appearing as a guest on a number of talk shows on local station WGBB AM 1240, as well as other local radio and cable TV programs. Sara presented the idea of Labor Lines to WGBB management and the show began airing in March of 1999. One of the first guests was then NY State AFL-CIO President Ed Cleary.

Sara has a well grounded media background. She has an MA in Communications from New York Institute of Technology. For a period of time she hosted and produced her own radio interview program on WGBB called WGBB tonight which aired on Monday evenings. She has served as a board member of the LI Press Club.

She serves as Director of Community Affairs for the Law Firm of Fusco Brandenstein & Rada, P.C. This position involves her with a number of civic, labor and charitable organizations such as: The Foundation for Sight and Sound; The AMT Children of Hope Foundation; The Lupus Alliance; Jobs with Justice; The Workers' Memorial Day Committee and many other organizations.
